The premise is simple and makes two assumptions. First, the fewer bullets in a magazine, the fewer people a mass shooter can shoot without having to reload, giving victims a chance to escape. Second, people can live with a reduced magazine capacity of ten rounds which is more than sufficient for self-defense. The premise, however, is incorrect on both assumptions.
This month has been spent gearing up for the legislative session. We are meeting with other pro-2A organizations, such as the new leadership in AGC (Associated Gun Clubs of Maryland) and with the Maryland Hunter’s Coalition. We are all in this together. We are also seeking to set up meetings with legislators and the Governor’s office. Whether that will be successful remains to be seen. We don’t know what will be happening yet, but if you want to know where the anti-gunners are headed, you need only look to California.
