Maryland State Police - Upcoming MyLicense Portal Outage

The Maryland State Police's Online Portal for HQL Applications and Handgun Instructors will be down from June 13th through June 15th

From the Maryland State Police:

Please be advised, the Maryland State Police Licensing Division's MyLicense system (https://emdsp.mdsp.org/egov/Login.aspx) will be down for important updates and scheduled maintenance beginning Wednesday, June 13, 2018 through Friday, June 15, 2018 and will be unavailable for those days.

The MyLicense system is used for:
     -Handgun Qualification License (HQL) applications (Standard, Training Exempt, Permit Exempt),
     -Qualified Handgun Instructor (QHIL, QHIC) initial applications and renewals,
     -LEOSA initial applications and renewals,
     -Canine Registrants,
     -Intercept Device Registrants, and
     -New Maryland Resident registration of firearms.

The effect of this will be that those who want to get the HQL to be able to purchase handguns, become handgun instructors, or register their handguns as new Maryland Residents will not be able to for at least 2 full days. Maryland Shall Issue is monitoring this situation.
