Fantastic, pilot25! Glad you're joining in the gun show effort.

There's one very important question....
What kind of donuts do you like?

Ha....I'm not picky, thank you.....

I'm a rookie so someone will need to lead me around. I've got the MSI polo shirt so, at least, I'll look like I know what I'm doing....

I'll be volunteering for Chantilly on the 30th too.

For anyone on the fence on volunteering I had a good first experience. Only 3 hours out of my day to talk firearms, 2A, and a host of other things with people of like interest. If you cannot afford to be a member but have the ability to get to a show to donate time, I recommend it. I didn't have the abilities of the seasoned MSI volunteers but hopefully got some to think about MSI after they left the show.

John B. was welcoming and led by example. Thank you.

Pilot25,

Thank you for taking some time out of your day to help out. It is greatly appreciated. Now to get another dozen or so like minded people to do the same so Shafted and Dogbone could take a break every once in a while!

Victory in the 9th Circuit!

In a huge decision authored by Judge O'Scannlain, a split panel of the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has ruled that Hawaii's ban on open carry outside the home in that state violates the Second Amendment under any level of scrutiny. The decision, Young v. Hawaii, can be found here. The decision is very scholarly, carefully reasoned and a powerful statement that the Second Amendment is not a "second-class" right or a constitutional "orphan."
