Have interest in following in your footsteps, if I can get past zoning issues for FFL online/shows & gunsmith business in Columbia, MD.

I did the same thing many years ago, my interview went great; the investigator was a retired MDSP trooper, and he said, unofficially that I should expect my permit in a week or so. Instead, the Licensing Division asked to speak with me in person, I did, and they steered me toward LEOSA. I withdrew my state permit application, and they were kind enough to refund my application fee.

I hope you don't get any restrictions, they are ridiculous. I'd like to hear how it goes. Thx!

"...show them your support for gun rights" says NRA's Shannon Alford, she continues that an email or a phone call is important, but nothing has a bigger impact than talking directly to your representative. “Your voice in Annapolis is your vote in Annapolis,” says Alford.

If I qualified for LEOSA, I would definitely pursue a MD permit as well.

I have retired MPD friends that can't recert due to budget, staffing and political issues.

The opinions expressed herein are not necessarily those of MSI, not necessarily mine, and probably not necessary.

As noted in the HPRB thread, I appealed my restrictions to have an unrestricted permit issued. Last night was my hearing and the board voted unanimously to issue an unrestricted permit!
