Thanks again so much for listing all these 6Pack, you are a great man!

I was hoping, because there were only a few Democrats listed they might be more pro-gun (actually Pro-Liberty, Pro-US Constitution, to be completely honest). Is Matthew Fogg the best Democrat we got in Maryland?

There once were a bunch of 'Blue Dog' Democrats in this state (so I've heard, long before I woke up); and these Blue dog Dems were quite reasonable and all owned guns. Then the 1960's happened, and in 1972 things started slipping downhill fast. Most of the country started repealing a lot of their (frankly racist) gun laws in the mid 1980's, and today there are more 'Shall Issue' and 'no permit required to carry' states than ever. But not Maryland. Thanks in a large part to Mike Miller and Mike Busch we are stuck in the 1970's with regard to gun laws.

"...show them your support for gun rights" says NRA's Shannon Alford, she continues that an email or a phone call is important, but nothing has a bigger impact than talking directly to your representative. “Your voice in Annapolis is your vote in Annapolis,” says Alford.

    Thanks!

Everyone that replied is posted here, and I encouraged each of those to come here and post more about themselves. I think some replied so they could tell their anti-gun constituents to look at the poor grade we gave them, but I still appreciate their reply.

Now I need help with the 2018 State questionnaires!

I can help you with that. A few years ago I got the NRA questionnaire and compared it to ours. We might also want to make a short 'guide' to the issues raised in the questionnaire for representatives to better understand the questions. One, very pro-2A politician, answered the NRA questionnaire poorly, although he was well intended he simply didn't really understand the issues well enough to answer in a more thoughtful way. After spending some time with him and going through it personally, he resubmitted his survey to NRA and they upgraded him to an 'A'.
The other benefit to doing this 'educating' is that (besides being part of our charter) it helps us communicate with politicians and inform them of the issues and implications of repeated and constantly submitting new gun laws that typically have no positive effect.

Attorney General Frosh is at it Again!

The Attorney General is at it again.   In his most recent press release (Dec. 7, 2017), the Attorney General engages in fear mongering in a tirade against the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (H.R. 38) that recently passed the House of Representatives (see HERE for our prior discussion on this bill), asserting that enactment of this law would be a “public safety disaster for our nation.”   Nonsense.

    National Reciprocity Passes the House!

Passage of this bill (H.R. 38) in the House is huge and is strongly endorsed by MSI. The bill contains multiple provisions greatly strengthening the rights of individuals with concealed carry permits and and of residents of constitutional carry states that allow concealed carry without a permit.
